Comprehensive Treatment
Handcrafting your smile for today, and the rest of your life.
Your smile is uniquely you. It is with you through good times with friends, graduations, weddings, job interviews, and all of your life’s most memorable moments. Your comprehensive orthodontic care is truly an investment in having a beautiful, confident smile as well as a healthy bite for the rest of your life. For these reasons, Dr. McDonald does not take the task of creating your lifelong smile lightly.
That is why he takes the time to do a full diagnostic study of your jaws, airways, teeth, and bite before your treatment starts. This allows him to design a custom-tailored treatment plan, just for you and your needs, and to make sure your stunning smile and healthy bite last for the rest of your life. We are perfectionists. We do it right, the first time. Period.
Is your child ready…
Our goal for your comprehensive orthodontic treatment is to create a beautiful smile and healthy bite to last the rest of your life. We also want to make the process of doing so as efficient as possible so that your child is not in treatment any longer than they have to be.
Typically, the best time to begin comprehensive orthodontic treatment is during your child’s growth spurt: usually between 12-14 for females, and between 14-16 for males. However, no two people are alike and some orthodontic issues may be more efficiently treated at different stages of growth. Your time in treatment depends on the complexity of your individual orthodontic issues. If timed correctly, most patients’ treatment lasts between 1 ½ - 2 years to not only align your teeth but to also create a healthy bite where teeth fit together properly.
Dr. McDonald is an expert at evaluating your child’s growth and development. As part of your complimentary consultation, he will analyze your records and advise when the most efficient time is to begin your treatment.
You have options…
Seeing an orthodontic specialist means that you have options. Dr. McDonald is a highly trained expert in multiple systems of moving teeth and jaws. At our office, we are proud to offer traditional metal braces, clear braces, Invisalign® clear aligners, and lingual (behind the teeth) braces as options for treatment.
Through getting to know you personally and completing your full diagnostic work up, Dr. McDonald will advise you on the best system(s) for you and your lifestyle to create your beautiful new smile and bite.
